Quality, affordable childcare
Childcare costs and the support available
We understand that the cost of childcare can represent a significant portion of your outgoings. We want to ensure all our families are receiving the support they are entitled to. To request individual nursery fees and session availability, please contact your local nursery - they will answer any questions you might have!
We aim to help you understand the variety of available government programmes that exist to support parents with childcare costs.
However, everyone’s circumstances are different and we therefore encourage you to visit the Childcare Choices | 30 Hours Childcare, Tax-Free Childcare and More | Help with Costs | GOV.UK site.

Help with managing childcare costs
Managing childcare costs can be challenging, particularly given the current financial environment. The UK government provides various funded childcare programs aimed at easing this financial burden. Explore the different options available to discover how childcare funding can support your family.
Tax Free Childcare
If you're not on benefits but entitled to Tax-Free Childcare, you can get a top-up of up to £2,000 per year, per child until the 1 September after your child turns 11 (or 16 for disabled children – and for them you can claim up to £4,000).
Childcare Vouchers and other employer schemes
If you're still able to use Childcare Vouchers, you can use them until your children turns 15 (or 16 if they're disabled).
Universal Credit
If you're on Universal Credit and in work, you can reclaim some of your childcare costs – up to a maximum of £1,014 for one child and £1,739 for two or more children – for children up to the age of 16. You can claim just during school holidays, or throughout the year.
